Fast Ferries

We are riding on the MV Fairweather today, but the weather is not fair. Another low has moved in and the clouds are low with rain. Just aboot a perfect day to be warm and dry inside  the ferry.
MV Fairweather

The Fairweather is the other fast ferry in the Alaska Marine Highway fleet. Her sister ship the MV Chenega is up north in Prince Whitlam Sound. We rode it a few years ago traveling to Cordova and back. The two ships are catamarans, cruise at 38 knots, and they look alike inside and out. They could be identical , and  actually there might only be one of them as I have never seen them together.
Riding out to the ferry terminal in the rain Sitka public radio station  KCAW had some good music going on. I have enjoyed listening to this community station for the past few days. They even broadcast Terry Gross Fresh Air show name link. The only other choice on the FM dial I found was some fire and brimstone station going off aboot fear or hate or some such nonsense.
