I am met my traveling compadre at a Holiday inn Express in
the Silver States Capitol city. This is the second Holiday Inn I have stayed in
on this trip, and although the front desk clerk is very nice, has no issues
with a early checking, they like the last place have no creamers for my koffee.
Once we got together, we sat right down and devised a plan,
and the first part of that plan was to spend a morning at the local motor
company outpost so my compadre motor bike could get serviced. We walked around
the neighborhood for a while but returned to the outpost to enjoy the refrigerated
air, and bottles of water.
After the bike was ready, we were going to Yerington Nevada.
We were set to meet to up with some pals and have dinner. Our pals messaged
that someone in their household just tested positive for covid, so those plans
were canceled
We did go to Yerington anyway and stayed at a very nice
local hotel The Yerington Inn. They did have some creamers in the lobby and
while my pal distracted the desk clerk I loaded up with creamers. Taco
Tuesday is a thing in Yerington but without our pals we had to forage for food
on our own. The one place they had recommended was shuttered, as was the bakery
across the street from the hotel.
Our choices were narrowing down to having to enter a casino,
which we did and were treated to enough secondhand smoke to last me for quite a
while. Unfortunately, the first casino’s restaurant was closed, forcing us to
enter another casino and finally finding food there.
Our room at the Inn was probably the most unique rooms I
have ever stayed in. It was spacious. It had a nice large table. And something
I had never seen before a walk-through closet.
No breakfast was offered at the Inn, so we had to make do
with a McDonalds but that was good enough to get us to the Extraterrestrial
Highway
We spent the night at the Alien Inn. They had no
creamers either or breakfast. I hope this isn’t a trend.
No UFO’S were spotted but I did set the alarm at midnight
and went outside to some spectacular night sky.
