The justices in a 5 to 4 vote said that the christrians that
put prop 8 on the California ballot in 2008 did not have the constitutional authority, or standing, to defend the law in
federal courts after the state refused to appeal its loss at trial. Ok they pushed. But that was better than I expected.

governor Jerry Brown ordered all county clerks to issue marriage licenses to
gay couples.
Here in town on
the Anchorage Daily News comments you could almost here the sound of the bible thumpers
heads exploding. Way to much gun powder those folks have. I believe we won the
day in the comment sections, as most commenters on the multiple articles seemed
to grasp reality instead of god delusions.

Tuesday the Supremes threw out part of the Voting Rights Act. The part that keeps federal watch over states that discriminant. Alaska was one of those states under watch because we have a history of native voter discrimination.
Cheating in elections is by far a greater crime than just hating homosexuals cuz god told you to.
One day to celebrate.
Then it’s back to work showing regressives the door, and feeding them and their
god delusion, hate, ignorance and greed to the wolves they want to shoot from airplanes.
Yesterday was a great day. The Voting Rights decision WAS horrible, but I have hope that's going to get fixed eventually. The world is spinning forward, as Tony Kushner said in his play Angels in America. The regressives can only try to keep it from doing so for so long before the momentum gets the best of them. :)
