Remembrance

December 7, 1942 the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.
They knew that their ethnically purity, and the emperor being tight with god, would lead them to victory over racially mixed America.

The Day Ted Stevens Died
Pearl Harbor Day. Today, all the flags were at half-staff except for the McDonalds on 36th. They must not have gotten the memo
The Japanese of 1942 did not know atomic energy, nor did they know that they would set amerika on a course to become the greatest militarily industrially complex on the planet.
World War II is over. The Pearl Harbor survivors groups are disbanding, not enough of them left.
The wars continue though. Only the wars now are about economics, and oil. If we had any honor left it went out with the bush administration water-boarding detainees.

December 8, 1980 is the day John Lennon was murdered.
He sang a lot about peace, and John is my favourite Beatle. Sure Paul was cuter, George was cooler, and Ringo was funnier, but Lennon is my favorite. His voice just got to me, and those lyrics...Instant Karma gonna get you...
I like to think the world would be a better place if John hadn't been murdered way back in 1980.
Mark Chapman the guy that shot John in the back four times still lives in Attica State Prison in Attica New York. Mark was sentenced to 20 years to life. 6 times he has been up for parole, and has been denied 6 times, in part because Yoko shows up at the hearings, and lets the parole board know that if you murdered John Lennon you should die in prison. I have to agree with her.

Hey Bulldog. One of my favorite Beatle's songs.

And peace is still a good Idea.
