This long weekend's road trip is south. South to slowdonta and kenai. This is where richfield  first discovered oil  in Alaska at Swanson River. This is where a lot of the men that work on the Cook Inlet oil platforms that you will not find with Google Earth live.slowdonta is where the John Birch Society had it's headquarters when I lived here in Cooper Landing in the 1970's
Out our front door here at Sunrise is the mountain that my papa set his spotting scope towards to look for sheep. His tripod is with us for our shoot of the Russian Church.  

We are going in to  major homophobic territory. We are coming out with PHOTOS
