Ok I used Working Class Hero the other day to mention the assault on the middle class by the republicans but today is the 30 year anniversary of Lennon's death.
He was shot in the back four times by Mark David Chapman, who pleaded guilty to second degree murder, and was sentenced to 20 years to life. He has been up for parol six times, each time his petition was apposed by Ono, and he remains in Attica prision today.
